Frequently asked questions

PASER (Pavement Surface Evaluation and Rating) is a 1–10 rating system developed at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. A score of 10 is new pavement in excellent condition. A score of 1–2 indicates failed pavement requiring full reconstruction. PavementIQ uses the same methodology adopted by DOTs, municipalities, and engineers nationwide to give your inspection reports instant credibility.
Never. The inspector always has final say. AI findings appear as suggestions — you can accept, edit, dismiss individual findings, or override the PASER score before anything goes in the report. The AI is a co-pilot that speeds up documentation, not a replacement for field expertise.
Google Maps satellite measurements in PavementIQ are accurate to within 1–3% for most commercial properties. Area measurements use Google's spherical geometry library to calculate real-world square footage from satellite coordinates — the same technology used by professional land measurement tools. For highly precise legal surveys, always confirm with a licensed surveyor.
Yes — PavementIQ is a mobile-first web app that works on any iPhone or Android browser. No app store download required. You can add it to your home screen for a native app experience. Camera, GPS, and voice recording all work directly in the browser on mobile devices.
After completing an inspection, tap "Push to HubSpot" on the report page. A 3-step modal walks you through creating a Company, Contact, and Deal in your HubSpot account — pre-filled with the property address, account details, and inspection data. The PASER score, issue count, and report link are automatically attached to the deal as a note. You need a HubSpot account and a Private App Token from HubSpot Settings to connect.
After your 14-day Premium trial, your account moves to the Free plan automatically — no charge, no credit card required. You keep all your inspections and data. You'll be limited to 12 inspections per month and AI features will be disabled until you upgrade. You can upgrade to Premium ($19/mo) or Ultra ($29/mo) at any time from Settings.
Yes. All data is stored in a PostgreSQL database with encrypted connections. Photos are stored in secure cloud storage. Internal notes are never included in client-facing share links or PDF exports. We never sell your data or share it with third parties.
